We met Dr. Zap when Charlotte, our four-legged sweetheart, injured her cranial cruciate ligaments (CCLs). Our then veterinarian told us surgery was the only option to heal Charlotte’s CCLs. However, after meeting with a veterinary surgeon and understanding the potential risks associated with surgery and the long, painful recovery process, we decided to explore non-invasive options – and it was the best decision we ever made. With Dr. Zap at the helm, we healed Charlotte’s CCLs using a series of modalities all working together to promote natural healing. Charlotte made progress every day and within months she was fully healed and back to hiking, swimming, and chasing birds.
Once Charlotte’s CCLs were healed, it was an easy decision to stay with Dr. Zap as Charlotte’s primary veterinarian. From the moment we met Dr. Zap, we loved her. At our first appointment, Dr. Zap spent two hours with us to understand all about Charlotte – her overall health, her diet, her activity level, her behaviors, etc. Dr. Zap approached Charlotte as a whole and not just as a patient with an injured knee. Dr. Zap takes this integrative approach to Charlotte’s current and future health and well-being. Additionally, Dr. Zap takes the time to explain every aspect of Charlotte’s health to us so we can make informed decisions related to her care and well-being.
Charlotte went from shaking in the waiting room and trying to escape the exam room at our former veterinarian’s office to running, tail wagging to greet Dr. Zap as she arrives at our home. This is a testament to Dr. Zap’s care and loving nature toward her patients – as they say, dogs know human nature!
We cannot say enough about Dr. Zap. She is the absolute best – you want her on her team, caring for your four-legged family members!
